I created the world of Angel Eyes to explore how a multi-format workflow could be used to create a truley unique motion comic experience while also feeding AR & print/digital media outputs working with world leading comic creators Andy Lanning & Ant Williams & award winning animators & game engine developers Dan Stankowski & Stephen Stephenson.
The workflow used for this project was an evolution of the workflow developed for Looking at the Moon but with a heavier focus on the creative story telling & a specific focus on integrating the laungue of panel based story telling inherent to comic books with the animation style developed for the VR & 16x9 versions of the story.
As part of the VR UI/UX, dynamic cover pages were created (these can also serve as AR elements as needed). To bring these to life a number of talented artists were commisioned, each bringing their own style and interpritation to the project.
All the episodes were built in Unity and published on the Oculus Quest via sidequest. Simutaniously 16x9 versions of each episode were published for Web based viewing, futher proving the versitilty of the workflow.
